Natural History Museum The museum aims to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all the visitors and to make an easy access to the buildings, exhibitions and collections in the widest sense. You will find here hundreds of exciting, interactive exhibits. Highlights include 'Dinosaurs', the ultimate dinosaur exhibition; 'Creepy-Crawlies', guaranteed to have you scratching in minutes; 'Human Biology', the must-see exhibition about ourselves; 'Ecology' and 'Mammals', with its unforgettable blue whale. Don't pass by 'The Power Within', offering an 'earthquake experience'. Phase One of the new Darwin Centre offers a chance to see the science behind the scenes. Investigate Located in the basement area of the Life Galleries, Investigate is the Museum's hands on science centre for children aged 7-14 and adults too. "Investigate" offers physical, sensory and intellectual access to our collections and enhances visitor learning through interaction and participation. There are hundreds of real natural history specimens that can handled and explored and a variety of tools for weighing, measuring and looking closely. Earth Lab It is located in the Earth Galleries, this is an area where you can view, examine, identify and/or research fossils, rocks and minerals. |
