Known as formerly Le Meridien Russell, the Russell Hotel was built in 1898 and is one of the finest original four star deluxe Victorian hotels in London. This Victorian building with its imposing faзade has recently undergone a major Ј20 million refurbishment to enable it to offer 373 very comfortable and luxurious bedrooms. It is perfectly located in the heart of Bloomsbury, with the British Museum, Covent and Holborn Garden, Oxford Street, Dickens House, National Gallery and Theatre Museum within a walking distance. This delight historical hotel is adjacent to the Underground and is close to all major train stations and airports. The truly magnificent mosaic floor has been fully restored to its original state after being covered up due to war damage.
Inside the hotel, its original features are smartly preserved. These include marble columns of Sicilian style, thrilling chandeliers, high arched ceilings, oak boarding and huge marble stairs.

I liked very much this hotel it is comfortable clean, i spent here a few days and i feel like i do not want to live.

Russell Hotel was the best retreat I stayed in London. I would say that the charge they made for the room was very reasonable for a clean, modern, London hotel and I would recommend it. Bar served drinks until late. Check out was simple and hassle free.

We took our doughter with us in London and stayed in Russell Hotel. Our family was extremelly fascinated with the hotel. The hotel's building is old fashioned but the room which we stayed in was elegant and maybe romantic. It was needless to bother the staff as we had everything in the room.
